Pre-algebra, elementary and intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, trigonometry, statistics; includes both multiple-choice and student-produced response (SPR)

Scoring

  • No penalty for incorrect answers or omitted questions — never leave anything blank.

  • Raw scores convert to scaled scores of 200–800 per section, totaling 1600.

  • Scoring into the harder second module provides a score boost of approximately 100 points.

  • Score report includes performance across 8 content domains and percentile rankings.

  • Some colleges accept a superscore (highest section scores from different test dates).

Pre-test questions

Usually 2 ungraded pre-test questions per module, mixed in with scored questions. Students will not know which ones they are.

FAQs

How often can students take the test?

As often as they want. Typically offered in March, May, June, August, October, November, and December.

How long does it take to get scores back?

2–4 weeks via College Board online account. Scores are sent to colleges about ten days after the score release date.

Do scores expire?

No — scores never expire, though they may be archived if more than a year has passed since the student graduated high school.

Is there a reference sheet?

Yes — the same math reference section is provided for both math modules.
