Unable to make it to class

Edited

If you cannot make a lesson, it is your responsibility to remove it from your schedule yourself. Do not wait for Zinkerz to do it — the student needs to be notified so they do not show up to a canceled class.

Scenario 1 — Rescheduling in advance

If you realize in advance that you have a conflict with an upcoming class, go into your LivePrep calendar and remove the lesson, then block off that time in your Temporary Availability.

If you need to remove more than one class for a student in a given week, contact the Support WhatsApp before making changes. This applies to:

  • Any changes requiring a permanent schedule adjustment

  • Going out of town for an entire week or more (as opposed to just a few days)

Scenario 2 — Last-minute rescheduling (within 24 hours)

If something comes up within 24 hours of a class, go into LivePrep and remove the lesson yourself immediately. Removing the class automatically notifies the student that it has been canceled.

This applies to:

  • Loss of Wi-Fi or power

  • Personal or family emergency

  • Illness

  • Any other unavoidable situation

About penalties: When you remove a class within 24 hours, the system will warn you about a penalty. The penalty will not be applied if you: (1) contact the Support WhatsApp immediately after removing the class, and (2) provide sufficient justification for why the cancellation was unavoidable.

The penalty will remain if you do not message Support, or if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.

See Rescheduling a lesson in this section for step-by-step instructions on how to remove a class in LivePrep.
